Have you ever wanted to know the actual power consumption
of your computer equipment ??

Many people may wonder how much it costs to run their computer equipment, especially when the electricity bill hits the doormat or email Inbox.

There are many opinions, figures and statistics ‘out there, in cyberspace’ ….. but take care.

Don’t base your figures on the manufacturers or retailers technical specifications.

These can be misleading if they use calculations based upon the power supply output or potential output.

A new independent poll by Tesco Pet Insurance has found that Brits are putting their pets first as they plan their holidays. A quarter of dog owners in Britain have deliberately chosen a holiday in the UK over a holiday abroad so that their pet could go with them.

Leaving Bubbles or Fido behind in the kennels while they enjoy a summer break is not an option for 83% of dog owners and 12% plan to take their dog with them on the next holiday they take.

It is an issue that is guaranteed to generate differing, often strong opinions. Do you allow access to Social Media sites such as Facebook, Linkedin or Twitter on the company computers and in company time?

For some senior managers, accessing social networks can be seen as a time wasting, distracting technology to be banned from the office without doubt. For others – including the many younger workers entering the workforce – it can be seen as a right and a necessity. They see it as a tool for getting work done rather than one that prevents it.

Microsoft has launched Bing for mobile to try and increase their market share of the mobile search market and this month highlights it to all users of Windows Mobile.
