IE 6 – when will it end?
article compiled by steve

At the beginning of 2011 and having gone past the 11 year anniversary of Microsoft Internet Explorer 6, the much hated web browser is still being used by a whopping 4% of the world.

Obviously, there will have to be a point when we stop building websites to work in IE6. I know many who have already dropped the browser and are telling their clients to upgrade to a newer version of IE.

According to the latest stats by W3Schools IE6 is currently being used by 4% for December 2010. Hopefully the time will come soon when people will just upgrade to a later version of IE.
